in environments with high levels of energy, particles become excited and collide with each other
I said hi it’s nice to meet
you; he said tell me your story and I’ll tell you mine
I said I appreciate the little
things; he said sometimes it hurts to love so much
I told him I’m looking for
magic; he told me he always stops to look at
spiderwebs underneath the stair rails at night as the lamps shine behind them
I said I appreciate that he appreciates the
little things; he said there are so many grey areas in love
he said I love your hunger
I said I love your calm
he said it’s turbulent inside
and put my hand inside his chest
and whispered, do you understand me yet?
I said I appreciate him; he said he loves the way words
unravel from my tongue
I told him I used to get sad and he told me he still does
and we reached across and
hugged on the grass that had our imprints from the hours we had sat,
then helped each other stand
he said it was nice to meet you
kindred spirit
I smiled back and
we said goodbye.
after colliding once, two individual particles are unlikely to interact with each other again
